Baddaginnie Run Estate Rose is a great value for money ($$) red wine from the Strathbogie Ranges region of Victoria, Australia. I discovered it at my local farmer’s market – there are a few great wine producers at my local farmers market. I go to purchase vegetables but usually come home with lots of wine!! Unfortunately, I have not seen it stocked anywhere else but you can purchase it online from the Baddaginnie Run website. I have tried all of their wines and am a regular buyer, as they are all excellent wines. The Rose is made from cabernet grapes in the style of Provence so it is not sweet like some Australian roses. It is definitely a great summer, drinking wine that works really well with spicy food, making it a perfect match for the Thai/Vietnamese menu. Drink now, rather than cellaring.
