MENU – Simply Spanish!

A few years ago, my partner and I visited Spain and did a 10 day walking, wine and tapas tour from Bilbao to Barcelona. With limited time and budget, it was a great way to see a part of Spain and experience the local culture and food in a short space of time.  This was the start of a continuing love affair with Spanish food.  I managed to pick up a fantastic small, cookbook containing a multitude of Spanish tapas dishes, some of which make up this menu!  This menu was put together for 10 people.  You can choose to omit recipes from each course if you want to cater for a smaller number of people.

WINES

Try this menu with Avonmore Estate Sangiovese or Glorioso Crianza Rioja or Alba Albarino!

Entree

  • Catalan Bread
  • Marinated Manchego with Basil & Tomato
  • Gambas/Fish Pil Pil
  • Chorizo in Red Wine

Main

  • Spanish Chicken Casserole
  • Mallorcan Slow Roasted Lamb Shoulder
  • Lemon Mushrooms in Garlic & Herbs
  • Asparagus with Spinach, Garlic & Pine Nuts
  • Warm Lentils, Goats Curd & Beetroot

Dessert

  • Chocolate Molten Pudding
  • Cheese Platter
